Selling through Lumsden Auctions  could not be easier, we have a simple step-by-step guide to easily get your items in our auctions  

Valuation

Whether you have a whole collection that you are looking to sell or just one particular item, we offer you a free valuation. Get in touch today either by telephone or email and we can arrange valuing your items, either by you making a trip to us or, sending us Photos by email or Whatsapp, or in special circumstances one of our specialists can come to you.

Auction Entries

To enter items into Auction you can simply bring them to us Monday to Thursday 10.00 till 15.00  should you require Transport you can email us with the full details attach photos if you can this helps with the estimate on Transport. We contract out our transport to specialists, should you require a quotation for transport please contact us by email or telephone 966 792 839 or you can message our whatsapp number 639 706 891 during office hours, we will pass your details to the contractor and they will be intouch direct to book in your delivery or collection, you can pay them direct or we can deduct it from your sales and pay them on your behalf.  

To enter items you are required by law  to bring with you or give a copy to our transport a valid photographic I.D. (Passport, Driving Licence, Tie Card etc), our Entries clerk will then open a selling account in your name and issue you with a sellers number card, they will then list your items on an Entry Form. Advise you on approximate selling price and agree and advise on any Reserves you may want to set as a minimum selling price for your items.

Any items that fail to sell will automatically be entered into the next appropriate sale, without reference to the Vendor and if applicable attract lotting fees unless the Vendor SPECIFICALLY withdraws the item. The Auctioneers reserve the right to dispose of all unsaleable lots and lots which remain unsold after three auctions (3 weeks), without reference to the Vendor, at the Auctioneers discretion. Please note: Items remaining on the premises unsold or uncollected after 3 weeks will be sold unreserved or disposed of without prior notice to the vendor. It is therefore incumbent upon Vendors to keep track of their items and remove them, if unsold, from the saleroom prior to the 3 week rule, items may also be subject to a storage charge of € 5.00 per item/day after 3 weeks.

Vehicle selling

Documentation required for selling a Spanish registered vehicle is: Permiso De Circulacion, Tarjeta Inspeccion Technica, Latest Paid Suma Bill, copy of Passport or residencia card, copy of NIE document, the vehicle must have an ITV to enable transfer, we ensure transfer is done by our specialist transfer agents ORKE Montesinos, we do not release the vehicle until the transfer is done or a justificante has been raised for the transfer.

Vehicle Selling British vehicle requirements: A V5 document or transfer slip must accompany the vehicle & a copy of passport.

Charges

Lumsden Auctions have a simple fee structure, we  charge €0.50 FEE to all lots for handling, cataloguing, photographing and promoting your items. A commission charge (15% + IVA),  on the hammer price of your lots. This is only charged when your items have been sold.

Condition

Entry items are expected to be in working order unless faults specified in the description, any unsafe or Items found to be not working when stated GWO (Good Working Order) by the vendor, will carry a fee of € 5.00 per item, which will be deducted from the sale proceeds, or charged direct to the vendor.

Cataloging                           

Once we have valued your items and you are happy to consign,  our team will get to work in preparing your item/items for auction. Our expert will describe your item(s) and then list your items in our online catalogue. The lot(s) will then be photographed for online auction purposes.

Post Auction

On request you will receive a statement detailing your lots and the hammer prices they have achieved also showing our commission fees and any transport fees if applicable then. Once we have received payment on your lots from the buyer, payment will normally be available 10 days after  Auction Close, allowing us time to collect your funds from the buyer. Payments are made in Cash or Bank Transfer. New law 13/06/21 limiting cash payments to €999.99 any sums above this must be by Bank transfer, payments can not be split into cash and bank.

Please bring your account card and photo I.D. to collect cash, our Bank transfers are sent every Thursday. Bank Transfers will only be made after the full consignment has been sold, unless otherwise agreed.
